Grant Information 2008
Charitable Focus:
 
Preferences will be given to creative programs focused on disadvantaged youth in the areas of general health, safety, education, and recreation.

Geographic Focus: Consideration is given primarily to organizations in the Greater Tampa Bay and West Central Florida areas.

  • Must be a 501(c)3 organization and have a Florida Consumer's Certificate of Exemption.
  • 100% of spending must be in the Greater Tampa Bay / West Central Florida area. The focus will be on, but not limited to, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Orange and Osceola Counties.
  • Grant proposals are accepted by mail May 1st - July 1st and September 1st - November 1st. There will be no exceptions to these deadlines.
  • Grant applications will be accepted twice a year. Grant recipients will be limited to one award per year.
  • No contributions will be made to general fund raising drives, celebrations or functions, administrative/training costs, capital expenditures, sponsorships, individuals, individual medical needs, scholarships, basic research, political organizations, political campaigns, conferences, and university capital campaigns.
  • Most grants will be for only one year and in amounts less than $5,000.
  • All organizations that receive grants will be required to report how funds were spent and their evaluation of the funded project/program.
Notification
Process:
The Foundation staff will review each application for eligibility. Phone conferences may then be requested. The organization will be notified in writing whether or not the application has been approved for a grant within a month of each deadline.
